How is CGM helpful?

CGM gives extensive glucose readings every few minutes, which can support you and your doctor to make PRECISION changes in your diabetes management plan.

For you:

  • You can see your glucose level whenever initially (in a few sensors). The graphical representation of the daily patterns are very easy to read, even for a layman.
  • You can survey how your glucose changes over a couple of hours or days to see patterns.
  • Seeing glucose levels continuously can assist you with how your sugar levels vary with your regular diet.
  • You can analyse your blood sugar variability in relation to your daily activity/exercise/sleep etc.
  • CGM reduces the need to check your glucose every day which is good news for everybody with diabetes

For the Doctor:

  • Ambulatory Glucose Profile can be used to diagnose Diabetes/pre-diabetes.
  • It is a much better alternative to FBS/PPBS and Hba1c to tailor your treatment accordingly.
  • Accurate changes can be made in the  dosing of  insulin/ tablets based on the AGP/CGM data.
  • Making an activity/diet plan that works for YOU. In fact, one can see the evidence of that change on the CGM data, which is very satisfying for the patient and the doctor.
  • CGM is an excellent tool in understanding intricate glucose patterns in patients with brittle Diabetes, where excessive hyper and hypoglycemia are both seen.
